Regular Dining Experiences
Happy Hour Train - Friday Night at 6 pm - (February 22 - December 26, 2008)
Our Happy Hour train is an Adult (21+) oriented train that gives local residents and visitors alike an opportunity to take a relaxing ride on the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad. This 3 hour excursion features five hot hors d'oeuvre choices, veggies and dip, and a meat and cheese tray served on our buffet. A variety of cocktails are available with the first being complimentary. The dance car will feature music from the 50's through 90's and a dining car will be set aside for quiet conversation. This is a great way to begin a special night out. There will even be prize drawings. Get a group together and leave the kids at home, this is one evening that you can enjoy.

400 Dinner Buffet Train - Friday Night at 6 pm - (February 22 - December 26, 2008)
Enjoy a very special buffet dinner onboard our period dining cars on this 3-hour roundtrip. This buffet meal features a salad bar with seven salad choices, roast tenderloin of pork, roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, long grain & wild rice, dilled baby carrots, chef’s choice vegetable, fresh dinner rolls, and your choice of coffee, iced tea, lemonade, or milk. There's even fresh baked chocolate chip cookies for desert. This dining option requires passengers to serve themselves at our buffet.

Tony's Riverside Family Pizza Train - (February 23 - October 4, 2008)
(November 1 - November 22, 2008)One of our most popular trains each year is our Family Pizza Train. Tony's Riverside in Spooner continues to supply their famous pizza for this great family train. This train is available weekly during our season usually on Saturday at Noon with extra trains on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 5 pm during July and August. The pizza train features a 16 mile, 2 hour roundtrip aboard our historic train, 1/2 pizza per person and a complimentary beverage of your choice. Elegant Dinner Train - Saturday Night at 6 pm - (February 23 - December 27, 2008)
The Elegant Dinner Train features dinner service in our climate controlled, mahogany interior dining car from 1918. The cash bar opens in the club car one hour prior to departure to get your experience off to a great start. Immediately after departure from the Depot passengers will be seated for dinner. Dinner begins with a sampling of Wisconsin Cheeses, dinner salad, our signature French Onion Soup, choice of Prime Rib, Stuffed Chicken Breast, or North Atlantic Salmon, and finish with your choice of scrumptious desserts. After dinner enjoy quiet conversation at your table or move back to the club car and dance to sounds of the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

Great Brunch Buffet - Mother's Day & Father's Day (12 noon departure)
Celebrate your parents on their special day by treating them to a very special buffet lunch on this 30-mile roundtrip from Spooner to Springbrook. As the train departs Spooner Depot, you are seated in the dining car to begin your lunch experience. This buffet meal features: salad bar, baked ham, roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, long grain & wild rice, dilled baby carrots, breakfast sausage, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, french toast sticks, scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes & gravy, chefs choice vegetables, fresh dinner rolls, mini muffins, mini danish, toast, fresh dinner rolls, and your choice of coffee, lemonade, or milk. There's even fresh baked chocolate chip cookies for desert. The train stops in Springbrook for a couple of minutes allowing you the opportunity to take pictures of the train. You will love the scenery as the train passes through Wisconsin's north woods, along the beautiful Namekagon River, over the Bean Creek Trestle, and along the shore of Green Lake.

Barbeque Train - (Wednesdays 5:00 pm June 25 - August 20, 2008)
Passengers will be treated to a giant barbecue buffet including: grilled chicken, hot dogs & hamburgers, bratwurst & sauerkraut, campfire beans, corn on the cob, rip roarin' cowboy chili, potato salad & 'slaw, fruit salad, watermelon and lemonade & Iced Tea during this ride on our historic train.

Dinner with the Outlaws - (Friday July 11, 2008 and Sat. July 12, 2008 at 4 pm)
A great event is returning this year during the Spooner Rodeo. After a long day of robbing trains, the infamous M.T. Pockets Gang need to relax and find some grub. Our evening train will take you to their secret camp and you will have a chance to chat with these modern day bandits. As the train arrives the desperados will ride up to the train and then escort you to their campsite. The kids might even have the chance to take a short pony ride. You will be treated to a western barbeque and maybe even some range songs around the ole' campfire. The menu includes: BBQ chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, brats & kraut, rip roarin' cowboy chili, campfire beans, corn-on-the-cob, several salad choices, watermelon, iced tea & lemonade. An old fashioned marshmallow roast will complete the evening before your ride back to civilization aboard the historic train. This year you will be back in time to make the evening rodeo performance.

Great Thanksgiving Buffet - Thursday, November 27, 2008 (12 noon departure)
Give thanks for your family and friends by treating them to a very special buffet lunch on this 30-mile roundtrip from Spooner to Springbrook. Santa's Pizza Party - Saturday 12:00 pm departure - (November 29 - December 20, 2008)
Santa's Pizza Party is a popular new way to celebrate the holiday season with your kids because it combines everyone's favorite meal with a scenic train ride and a visit with Santa. Year after year Tony's Riverside, the popular Spooner gathering place, cooks up the best pizza around and delivers it hot to the train. Your ticket aboard Santa's Pizza Party Train includes the 2 1/2 hour train ride, 1/2 pizza per person and your first beverage, a visit with Santa in his private car, a special gift for each child, and a holiday cookie and hot chocolate on the return trip.
