Beverage Service Options

The Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad offers three types of beer, three flavors of wine coolers, four types of individual bottled wine, and a variety of soft drinks. Prices for alcoholic beverages are generally $3.00 and soft drinks are $1.25. We offer several beverage service options:

NO ALCOHOL
If No Alcohol is selected, passengers will be served the beverage selection that has been chosen to go along with their meal selection. This option, while available is not recommended as most guests expect some sort of beverage service.

CASH BAR
Under this service option individuals pay their drinks at the time of delivery.

HOST BAR
Drinks are added to a “tab” throughout the event and the Host pays the “tab” at the end of the event. Host bar can be open for the entire event or for a limited period of time by prior arrangements and notice. Signs will be placed at each bar giving the hours of the Host Bar period.

HOST TOKENS
We can also provide drink tokens to be distributed to your guests allowing them a certain number of host provided beverages. Host pre-purchases drink tokens for $2.50 each and guests redeem tokens for choice of any beverage during the event. Tokens can be distributed, as passengers are boarding or following the ceremony.

All bar prices subject to Wisconsin Sales Tax of 5.5% and are subject to change without prior notice. Bar service ends 15 minutes prior to arrival at Spooner Depot at the end of event.

Champagne Toast                                                                  $3.00 Person

Our staff will serve champagne or sparkling cider to your guests as the Bride and Groom make their way through the train from the car to car for a special Champagne Toast.

Corkage Fee                                                                           $10.00 Bottle

Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad, Inc. will permit the Bride and Groom to bring custom made and labeled wine or champagne onboard the train for service to their guests with dinner or as a part of the champagne toast. The Corkage Fee is charged per 750 ml bottle served. This is the only exemption permitted to our liquor guidelines.
